  2. The Secret Is Out!!

    02/26/2009 Well, the secret is finally out – the sea­son finale of Top Chef was filmed here at Commander’s Palace.  It was quite an expe­ri­ence.  After work­ing with the fan­tas­tic pro­duc­ers Liz Cook and Nan Strait for sev­eral months it all came together beau­ti­fully and the restau­rant trans­formed into a Hol­ly­wood set overnight.

    1  1/2 ounces Old New Orleans Rum Juice of 1 lime wedge 3 dashes Peychaud’s bit­ters 1/4 ounce Sim­ple Syrup Secret Ingre­di­ent (when you dis­cover it) Club Soda Lime wedge, for gar­nish Com­bine the rum, lime juice, bit­ters, sim­ple syrup and the secret ingre­di­ent in a cock­tail shaker filled with ice and shake vig­or­ously.  Strain […]

  8. The Hissy Fit

    2 ounces vodka 1 ounces Pas­sion fruit syrup 1 ounces orange juice Gin­ger beer Com­bine the vodka, pas­sion fruit syrup and orange juice in a cock­tail shaker with ice.  Shake vig­or­ously and pour entire con­tents into a high ball glass.  Top with gin­ger beer and gar­nish with an orange slice.  Serve immediately.
