The Most Important Cocktail… er, Day of the Year
All of the talk and debating ends on Tuesday. Some of us will be happy with the outcome and others will not be easily consoled. Our country is experiencing a financial crisis unlike no other. I think it’s important to think about our future and watch the election coverage with a clear head. This is one of the few times I would recommend serving light cocktails, wine and beer. At my bar I’ll be recommending a Champagne cocktail. Delicious, light, crisp and easy to pair with food. If your candidate wins — so much the better. Champagne is always so perfect for celebrating.
And if your candidate does not win — drink one anyway and start thinking about changes you need to make in your community. We all need to do that now and again and reflect on where we are in our life. A sense of accomplishment outshines things you can’t change.

* Coincidentally, both of these amazing Cocktail Chicks came up with the Champagne Cocktail independent of each other! Check out some election/cocktail related links on our Friends page. Your Vote and Voice Counts. And please let us know what you’ll be drinking as America moves forward with its new president.
