Thanks to Bridget and John for joining the revolution! And for taking the mystery out of the spicy and seductive Sangria. Hope to see more from you two. Gotta go, my Sangria is ready and I wanna get started on my own video from the Land of Cocktails. Oogy Wawa!

I love the spice of love recipe. I had, what I considered, the recipes of all recipes from a long lost friend in Mexico and this is the closest to that. Just one question. How come John didn’t use the agave instead of sugar for this one? Any reason?

I would use Cointreau instead of Triple Sec, since it tastes so much better. Triple Sec is a cheaper knock off of Cointreau, which is very noticable in the taste. Just a small tip. Otherwise — lovely cocktail!

my Real sangría recipe:
brown sugar
pieces of fruit (oranges, peaches, apples, and kiwis are my recomendations, but all of them are wellcome!)
1 red wine bottle (no need to be a good one it is enough if it doesn’t stings while swallowing!)
natural orange juice (squeeze 8 oranges)
natural lemon juice (squeeze 4 lemons)
a pinch of cinamon to make it “afrodisiac”
some red martini, cointreau, vodka or whatever u have at home, to make it stronger and more tasty
