Makes 4 (or more) drinks
8 ounces fresh orange juice
6 ounces fresh lime juice
6 ounces simple syrup
4 ounces light rum
4 ounces dark rum
4 ounces brandy
4 ounces gin
1/4 ounce almond extract
Combine all ingredients in a pitcher with ice and mix. Serve in tiki glasses or tall glasses.
* We found several other recipes for the Fog Cutter which we’ll post as well. This one, though, is the one we found from Bali Hai. Approved by Lu Brow and Ted “Dr. Cocktail” Haigh. If you have your favorite please let us know!

Great episode and blog from you Cocktail Chicks. Sounds like a misspent youth to me… and I’m so jealous! FYI in Dale Degroff’s new book, The Essential Cocktail, he has a great chapter on the Tropical drinks, the Fog Cutter and the birth of Tiki.

I just got word that right off the coast of New Orleans is a new pink dolphin. I can’t wait to see what drink you can come up with to celebrate. The Pink Dolphin has got to be a great drink waiting to happen.
