Spice of Love Sangria
1 cup strawberries, sliced well
1 cup apple juice
1/3 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup sugar (or 1/4 cup)
2 whole cloves
1–2 seedless blood oranges, each cut into 16 wedges
1 bottle fruity red wine
2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges

2 cups boiling water
2 cups sugar
Place sugar in a heatproof container. Add the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Let cool to room temperature. The cooled syrup will keep, refrigerated, in a jar or container for up to a month. Makes 2 cups. -
